We need to slow down and appreciate Advent for what it is; preparation for Christmas. John the Baptist proclaims the need for Jesus Christ. We approach the coming Christ in penitence and desperately need Him. Advent is the time to pray and prepare to receive mercy and forgiveness. God walks amongst us.
